Group Head: Wholesale Banking

• Group Head – Wholesale Banking (Corporate, Commercial & Public sector)
• Job grade: E3 (Paterson grading)
• Access Bank Namibia seeks an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Group Head – Wholesale Banking The ideal candidate will provide leadership and direction to acquire, manage, and retain customer relationships within the Wholesale sector. This role requires the ability to engage customers optimally, drive financial growth, and minimize risks

Duties

• Formulate and implement the Wholesale Banking strategy
• Define and execute marketing and sales strategies for the Wholesale Banking Group
• Develop new Wholesale Banking products and services
• Manage existing and new customer relationships to maximize retention and development
• Oversee the credit risk framework and ensure effective risk management
• Fund the bank with low-cost liabilities and manage overall business performance
• Act as an ambassador for the Bank and prepare regular performance reports for the Executive Director of Wholesale Banking

Requisites

• A minimum of a B-tech degree in any discipline
• Relevant professional certifications in banking (e.g. ACIB or equivalent)
• Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience, with at least 6 years in a Senior
• Leadership role in marketing, business development, customer relationship management or related
• Proficiency in English
• Namibian citizens or permanent residence
• Skills & Abilities:
• Financial and market analysis
• Risk management and credit analysis
• Strong relationship management and customer value proposition
• Knowledge of banking products, trade finance, and debt recovery
• Strategic thinking, advanced selling skills, and industry knowledge
• Excellent customer service orientation and compliance management
• Presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft excel
