Sanlam is recruiting a Financial Officer: Control Accounts, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Sanlam is a leading Financial Services Institution, which provides services in the fields of Individual Life Insurance, Group Life Insurance, Unit Trusts and Asset Management
- To give substance to its objective to be fully-fledged Namibian Insurer, Sanlam is increasingly introducing greater financial and technical expertise
- The incumbent will be responsible for the control accounts, various financial tasks and reporting
Duties
- Prepare, investigate, follow up and manage control account reconciliations
- Assist and submit month end reports to the business
- Assist with annual audits (external and internal)
- Prepare month end journals
- System development testing and reviews
- Assist the Financial Manager with adhoc duties
Requisites
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Grade 12
- A relevant Bachelor Degree and Audit articles will be an added advantage
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a financial environment (Insurance industry will be an added advantage)
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Absolute proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- An additional local Namibian language will be a competitive advantage
- Computer Literate (MS Office Package); Accounting Software
- Financial planning and recommendations
- Financial Reporting
- Financial Information Processing
