Financial Manager (m/f)

Duties

• Manage all financial and accounting functions
• Implement and monitor effective financial and risk control systems relevant and accurate reporting systems
• Formulate financial policies taking into account business strategy, acceptable accounting policies, standards and regulations
• Financial/Management analysis and reporting including all internal, external and regulatory submissions
• Compliance to all financial statutory and regulatory requirements
• Responsible for all internal/external audit engagements
• Facilitate and execute the budgeting process (Long and Short-term)
• Development and implementation of ERP and other systems
• Manage the information technology environment
• Manage commercial and related activities in accordance with best practices
• Manage supply chain and related activities in accordance with best practices
• Manage contracts (initiate, negotiate, draft and log)
• Adhere and promote all safety, security, health and environmental initiatives

Requisites

• A recognized tertiary qualification in accounting, CA/CIMA qualification will be an added advantage
• Minimum of eight (8) years of operational experience, covering the full spectrum of the financial environment (preferable in the mining industry) with at least 5 years at a managerial level
• Proven analytical problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Package with previous experience in ERP accounting systems
