- To partner with the business in the provision of financial expertise and advice and develop supporting processes that continuously enhance the delivery of financial services

Duties
- Partner with stakeholders in the provision of financial insights and guidance into operational matters
- Manage and monitor the application and effectiveness of the business's financial information systems
- Coordinate the budget preparation process and manage the process in accordance with guidelines and best business practices
- Monitor and report variances in relation to business performance to support decision making and to guide management in taking corrective action on forecast and budget variances
- Interrogate and manage costs for decision-making in the business
- Plan and apply relevant technical accounting principles to accurately record, adjust and reconcile financial transactions
- Apply IFRS technical considerations in relation to business transactions and the banking industry
- Prepare and report on business performance in relation to management accounts and EXCO reporting
- Maximise productivity through efficient planning of people and processes to drive optimal utilisation of available resources; identify and implement improvements to accounting and reporting processes
- Manage the interrelationships between various systems, data and other resources to ensure effective project planning and delivery
- Participate and contribute to a development culture where information regarding successes, issues, trends and ideas are actively shared
- Plan and manage performance, skills development, succession and talent management and the culture of team in order to improve performance and collaboration
- Continuously assess own performance, seeking timely and clear feedback. Requesting training where required
Requisites
- Have a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Accounting
- Are a Chartered Accountant (CA(Nam))
- Have 2+ years’ experience in Banking
- Have experience in management accounting
- Have 3+ years’ experience in management (junior/middle management)
