Old Mutual is recruiting a Finance Manager: Short Term Insurance (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Accountable for the preparation of financial reports for the business
- Providing technical assistance to the business and liaising with key stakeholders
- Being responsible for the financial reporting and management reporting process, including ownership of the annual year-end and interim reporting processes
- Analyzing financial records such as income and expenditure and profitability trends
- Assisting in, and preparation of, board reporting submissions
- Responsible for driving business planning and forecasting processes
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards as prescribe by the group
- Ensuring and maintaining of an effective financial control environment in the business
- Reviewing and monitoring of key account reconciliations across a number of areas
- Tax planning, reporting and compliance across all tax types
- Expenditure management and protection of assets
- Risk and Compliance reporting
- Guiding systems and process development and ongoing improvements
- Integrating accounting, actuarial and tax knowledge in terms of analysis and interpretation of technical issues
- Responsible for cash management, monitoring and reporting
- Ensuring processes, policies and practices are in place to drive business strategic objectives and contributing to finance strategy
- Management of the business unit finance team
Requisites
- Namibian Citizen
- 10 Years Finance Management experience
- Registered Chartered Accountant
- Short-term insurance industry experience would be beneficial
- Must have senior level experience in managing a team
