Finance Manager: Short Term Insurance (m/f)

Duties

• Accountable for the preparation of financial reports for the business
• Providing technical assistance to the business and liaising with key stakeholders
• Being responsible for the financial reporting and management reporting process, including ownership of the annual year-end and interim reporting processes
• Analyzing financial records such as income and expenditure and profitability trends
• Assisting in, and preparation of, board reporting submissions
• Responsible for driving business planning and forecasting processes
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards as prescribe by the group
• Ensuring and maintaining of an effective financial control environment in the business
• Reviewing and monitoring of key account reconciliations across a number of areas
• Tax planning, reporting and compliance across all tax types
• Expenditure management and protection of assets
• Risk and Compliance reporting
• Guiding systems and process development and ongoing improvements
• Integrating accounting, actuarial and tax knowledge in terms of analysis and interpretation of technical issues
• Responsible for cash management, monitoring and reporting
• Ensuring processes, policies and practices are in place to drive business strategic objectives and contributing to finance strategy
• Management of the business unit finance team

Requisites

• Namibian Citizen
• 10 Years Finance Management experience
• Registered Chartered Accountant
• Short-term insurance industry experience would be beneficial
• Must have senior level experience in managing a team
