Hartlief is recruiting a Finance Manager (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- To manage the overall operations of the Finance department to support decision making and drive best operating practices and a profitable business in line with Hartlief Strategic objectives and goals
Key accountabilities
- Provide input to the company’s strategic plans
- Oversee various financial functions by reviewing information received from the various functions, incorporating the information into reports for business decisions
- Manage, review and execute timely and accurate monthly consolidated numbers, Business Performance Review reports and Board Packs
- Drive compliance to Corporate Governance by adherence to policies, procedures and legislation
- Plan and complete all external and internal audits as per specifications
- Prepare annual financial statements and managing the process
- Develop, improve and implement financial controls for the entire business
- Support the Director Finance in strategic planning and projects of the company
- Monitor and evaluate departmental and financial performance against strategic plans, business plans, budgets and key performance areas
- Prepare annual operating & CAPEX budget for the Department
- Approve Purchase Orders and Bank transactions with professional skepticism, understanding and due care
- Lead, coach and develop employees
Requisites
- Qualified CA (relevant B degree, honours degree and board examinations) with more than 5 years’ experience in a financial management position
- Strong Advanced Excel experience is crucial
- Experience in the manufacturing (FMCG) industry
- SAP System experience and meat industry experience is an added advantage
- Knowledge required:
- Strong financial accounting background
- Good knowledge of internal controls
- Professional knowledge of financial management and controlling as well as preparation of financial statements
- A good knowledge of IFRS and new developments in this field
