Old Mutual is recruiting a Finance Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Managing the group tax function, including tax reporting, tax compliance and tax advice
- Manages financial reporting requirements
- Manages statutory reporting, audits and preparation of Annual Financial Statements across different Business units
- Ensuring processes, policies and practices are in place to drive business strategic objectives
- Effects on-going changes to internal controls as necessitated by changes in business and corporate governance
- Assist and address ad-hoc CFO and internal Stakeholders and Committees requirements
- Develops, reports on and interprets cost drivers, KPIs and benchmarks
- Emphasis of the role is on interpretation and predictive results
- Maintains complex business models
- Preparation of annual business plans and quarterly forecasts
- Creates a healthy internal control environment to ensure safeguarding of assets & integrity of financial information
Requisites
- Namibian citizen
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Accounting & Taxation)
- CA qualification, completion of articles or tax qualification will be a distinct advantage
- 5+ years senior finance management experience is required
- Computer Literacy and good numeric skills are essential with excellent excel skills
- Proven ability to meet and exceed tight business and reporting delivery targets on a consistent basis
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
