FNB Namibia is recruiting a Facilities Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • To ensure maximum efficient operation of facilities and equipment as well as the care of all buildings grounds and support equipment
Duties
  • Develop a service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service
  • Oversee the daily facilities operations of campuses to ensure they are maintained in a safe, clean, and efficient manner
  • Develop and implement procedures related to building maintenance & safety, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborate with property owners, contractors, and vendors to negotiate contracts, review proposals, and ensure cost-effective and quality services
  • Build and maintain good working relationships between facilities department and tenants providing updates on building maintenance, operations, security and safety
  • Monitor and manage budgets for building maintenance, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and renovations to ensure high standards are maintained
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in building management, recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Coordinate and supervise on-site staff and maintenance personnel, ensuring they are performing their duties effectively
Requisites
  • Have a relevant diploma or degree
  • Have 5 years experience in a similar environment with 2 – 3 years experience in a supervisor position
