NAMCOR is recruiting an Executive Supply & Logistics, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Supply & Logistics Policies & Procedures (incl. legal requirements & Safety, Health, Environmental Quality (SHEQ) (To direct & ensure comprehensive establishment, implementation of, and compliance to the legislative framework:
- Oversees the management of inventory, stores and assets in compliance with the guidelines issued by the NAMCOR.- Monitors international trading best practices technologies and legislation and ensures that NAMCOR takes full advantage of any such
- Develops world-class Supply & Logistics system:
- Facilitates collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure organisational effectiveness.
- Supply & Logistics Continuous Improvement:
- Ensures supply and distribution business processes are reviewed and improved
- Exploits data analysis, forecasts, and projections to manage processes, cost, quality, and lead time of supply chain and subsequent logistics
- Monitors international trading best practices technologies and legislation and ensures that NAMCOR takes full advantage of any such
- Monitors Costs and minimise Risks:
- Defines and scopes total S&D costs improvement opportunities
- Regularly reviews of actual verses budget total S&D costs to identify problems and opportunities both short (within budget year) and long term
- Risk Management:
- Takes prompt action to communicate and manage issues
Ensures supply and distribution activities, inventories and flows are assessed for risk and evolving issues
- Fuel/Petroleum Mandate Allocations and Management of Stakeholder Relationships:
- Develops the necessary structures and relationships with fuel companies and suppliers that facilitate the reinstatement of supply and distribution mandate
- Develops and maintains professional working relationships to facilitate an effective and sustainable supply chain
- Monitors and evaluates key indicators to deal with any challenges proactively and effectively. Relating to stakeholder relationships
- Terminal Management & Stakeholder Management
- Human Resources Capacity and Effectiveness
- Supervision of Staff and Capacity Development
- Personal Effectiveness and Competency Development
Requisites
- Master’s Degree in any of the following: - Business Administration, Economics, Procurement and Supplies Management or other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution with 8 years’ relevant experience or
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: - Procurement and Supplies Management, Procurement and Logistics, Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management), Economics or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution with 10 years’ relevant experience
- At least 5 (Five) years’ experience in a managerial position in supply chain management and operations management preferably within the commercial value chain of the energy/petroleum sector
- Experience in oil and gas terminal operations and supply chain management is critical
