Exchange Control Contractor

Description

• To perform duties on a temporary basis as allocated by the business unit

Duties

• Ensure full compliance with the Exchange Control Regulations for the bank
• Motivate and submit applications to the Bank of Namibia’s Exchange Control Division on behalf of clients of the entire branch network to facilitate their cross-border payment flows as part of understudying the Excon Manager
• Consult with branches and establish shortcomings in Exchange Control understanding and interpretation of rules
• Keep Excon files & records properly organised and easily accessible
• Ensure that accurate Balance of Payment information is submitted daily and branches are educated in correct reporting and repair of rejected records
• Keep a proper diary system of expiry dates of the relevant authorities and submit returns when due.
• Ensure that Exchange Control Ruling amendments & Circulars are promptly published on the intranet for the network and other stakeholders to ensure acceptable level of awareness, understanding & compliance

Requisites

• Have a Grade 12 with 27 points and a relevant tertiary qualification
• Have fair knowledge of the Exchange Control Regulations & Rulings is required with at least 3 years experience in the field
• Are a team player with a learning attitude
