Accor is recruiting a ESG Analyst (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • The ESG Analyst will serve to provide capacity and facilitate the installation of required competencies and systems in ESG across the hotel owners portfolio assets. The candidate will be based at the hotel assets and will work closely with various stakeholders
  • The work will be guided by the owners ESG policy and KPIs, an understanding of Accor’s Sustainability Programme and Goals; and various E&S (Environmental and Social) reporting needs required by various stakeholders. The key objective is to ensure standardisation and coherence of approach; provide support, capacity and required competencies in situ and enable the development of a reliable, transparent and measurable E&S management system at site, regional and portfolio levels
Duties
  • Serve as an onsite resource and utility for E&S and Sustainability related work at the Hotel properties and in the Region
  • Provide capacity and facilitate competencies at hotel level along ESG institutional needs and objectives along:
  • E&S Management Systems and Policies
  • Labour and Working Conditions
  • Resource Efficiency and Pollution Prevention
  • Community Health, Safety and Security
  • Biodiversity Conservation & Cultural heritage
  • Focus and prioritization of Plastic Waste project
  • Implementation of E&S related systems
  • Planning and implementation or various Hotel specific ESAP (Environmental & Social Action Plans) from the DFIs
  • Data collection, processing and storage for various ESG reporting requirements
  • Treatment of emerging E&S project and/or data related queries and requests
  • Plan and coordinate activity with Hotel, across country, region and portfolio, in collaboration with Intern for West and Central Africa, as required
  • Support ongoing monitoring and evaluation of projects using formal project management tools
  • Furnish periodic update reports to reporting lines
  • Submit mission reports and present work at end of term
Requisites
  • Bachelor of Engineering; or Master level degree in Environmental Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Business Administration from a reputable university
  • Autonomy, self-motivation and ability to facilitate and deliver work on time
  • Willingness and ability to learn and acquire new skills and competencies
  • Willingness and ability to travel across Africa
  • Be based at the Kasada portfolio companies in the region
  • Required training, guidance and supervision for tasks to be provided
