Engineer: Semi Purified & Special Projects (m/f)

Duties

• The provision of water and sewer infrastructure through the design and construction thereof
• Key Performance Areas:
• Infrastructure Design
• Managing Contracts
• Manage Projects
• Provision of Engineering Services
• Liaising with Public
• Human Resources Supervision
• Evaluate Tenders

Requisites

• Minimum Requirement:
• B.SC (Civil Eng.), B.Eng (Civil) or B.Tech (Civil Eng), or as otherwise required by the Engineering Council of Namibia for registration as Incorporated or Professional Engineer
• Required specialisation:
• Required specialisation in Water & Waste Water
• Minimum Period Job Related Experience:
• Three (3) years experience after registration as Incorporate or Professional Engineer with the Engineer Council of Namibia
• Required Skills Knowledge:
• Technical knowledge pertaining to the design of water and sewer infrastructure, Complication of construction tender documentation, Sound knowledge of good construction practice as governed by the relevant SANS documents, Knowledge of standard construction contracts (FIDIC or as per current policy) and the sound management thereof, Local Tender Board Regulations, Local Authorities Act, Engineering Professional Act
• Legal Requirements:
• Registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia as professional or incorporated Engineer, Driver's License - Code B
• Pre-Appointment Training as an added advantage:
• Project Management, Contract Management
