B2Gold is recruiting an Employee Wellness Graduate (m/f), to be based in Otjiwarongo, Namibia.
Duties
- This position assists the Employee Wellness Officer to promote, coordinate, administer and implement all activities relating to the management of wellness HIV/AIDS, Employee Assistant Services (EAS), and employee health in accordance with the B2Gold Wellness program
Coordinate, implement and monitor the wellness program
- Assist with coordinating of the wellness activities and resources
- Assist with liaising of relevant stakeholders on wellness issues
- Assist with developing and implementing monthly health communications and activities
- Assist with developing annual wellness implementation plan
- Assist with monitoring and evaluating the program on a continuous basis and submit proposals to the Employee Wellness Officer
- Assist with conducting of surveys related to wellness matters
- Maintain record keeping of all health screenings, medical clearance forms and attendance sheets
Provide counseling
- Assist with referrals of employees with specific issues to external service providers
Assist with coordinating HIV voluntary counseling and testing and provide HIV AIDS treatment, support and referrals
Ensure wellness awareness and education
- Assist with conducting of presentations on wellness programs and topics to create awareness and educate employees on health and wellness matters
- Encourages participation in Health Assessments and facilitate access to resources to achieve a healthy lifestyle
- Assist to perform peer educator training to volunteer employees
- Attend quarterly Wellness Coordination meetings and other training events
- Assist to motivate others to live a healthy lifestyle
Safety, Health and Environment
- Ensure compliance to all B2Gold Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures
Requisites
- Grade 12
- Minimum B Degree in Social Sciences or Social Work or Human Sciences (NQF Level 7)
- Minimum 1-year Counseling or Health Education experience
- Valid code B driver’s licence
- Valid Professional Registration will be an advantage
