FNB Namibia is recruiting a Currency and Exchanges Head, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To administer Exchange Control rules and regulations and facilitate the Bank and client authorisation of cross border payments to protect the Bank reputation and authorized dealer licence (AD)
- Act as client liaison to develop and submit complex EXCON applications to the BoN
- Ensure continued awareness of Exchange Control within FNB Namibia
Duties
- Account for full adherence to all Authorized Dealer License (AD) conditions
- Set Exchange Control strategy & develop risk management framework
- Issue directives consistent with the Exchange Control operational framework and legislation
- Liaise with the with the Legal and Exchange Control department of Bank of Namibia
- Provide progress updates and reports to the BON as and when required with regards to the non-compliance of the system and other prevalent matters
Ensure that all cross-border payment systems used comply with the reporting requirements as per the regulations
- Understand BOP reporting rules as stipulated by the BOB and have a comprehensive understanding of BOP category codes
- Advice and assist in the structuring of complex cross border transactions
- Implement changes based on changes in EXCON rulings, as well as provide advice and guidance on EXCON matters from a legislative and policy perspective
- Monitor Net Open Foreign Position (NOFP) for compliance and reporting
- Take full responsibility for performance of all direct reports, managing their performance in relation to quality standards and agreed benchmarks, focusing on all aspects of sound people management and ensure appropriate levels of management accountability
Requisites
- Compliance/Risk Management qualification or Commerce related degree
- Postgraduate or other equivalent degree will be an added advantage
- 3-5 Years EXCON experience in a similar environment
