FNB Namibia is recruiting a Credit Portfolio Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To analyse credit reports as well as interpret the current and projected company credit position
Duties
- Analyze Complex Data:
- Interpret and assess credit-specific data to identify trends and potential risks across the loan life cycle
- Stay Current with Regulations:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements such as BID-2
- Collaborate with Stakeholders:
- Build relationships that allow for the managing of expectations; the sharing of knowledge and diverse insights; and the creation of buy-in
- Prepare Comprehensive Reports:
- Create detailed reports on portfolio performance for senior management and key committees
- Communicate Insights Effectively:
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to diverse audiences
- Ensure Compliance:
- Oversee adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards related to credit risk management
- Drive Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process enhancement and implement best practices in credit portfolio management
- Utilize Technology:
- Leverage advanced tools such as PowerBi, SAS, SQL, and Python to interpret data
- Take Initiative:
- Identify development needs and select effective solutions to address your own development need
- Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant regulatory amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders
Requisites
- Have a Relevant Degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Sciences, or alike, and/or equivalent
- Have 3 to 5 years' experience of relevant financial or credit risk experience in a bank or financial institution, with a minimum of 1 year spent at the management level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have hands-on experience with PowerBi, SAS
