Nedbank is recruiting a Conformance Manager, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • To monitor and provide oversight on the adherence to compliance practices in client facing clusters to ensure compliance & operational procedures are adhered to
Duties
  • Ensure Operational risks are managed by developing an annual Conformance Audit programme across client facing clusters
  • Manage Conformance Officers adherence to annual Conformance programme
  • Manage resolution/implementation and closure of Conformance/Audit items
  • Identify, develop and propose new initiatives to improve the quality of the branch control environment within retail banking
  • Contribution to development of the company’s business strategy with particular reference to the reduction of operational risks and losses
  • Present findings of Conformance reviews/BROTA assessments to stakeholders through formal engagement
  • Preparation of regular and accurate reports to ensure timely and accurate information is provided for management decision making
  • Assist RBB management to comply with legal, regulatory requirements
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Respond to occasional queries and complaints to ensure that these are resolved effectively and sensitively
  • Monitor development of training material applicable to routine control responsibilities and activities for accuracy and relevance
Requisites
  • Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
  • Preferred Qualification:
  • Preferably a Degree in Business Administration
  • Minimum Experience Level:
  • Grade 12 (25 points)
  • A relevant Degree/Diploma - A banking related qualification will be an added advantage
  • A minimum of 10 years banking experience, especially in the retail banking sector and branch administration
  • Knowledge and experience in Risk and Compliance
  • Knowledge of Business administration and procedures
