PWC Namibia is recruiting a Compliance Senior Associate, to be based in Walvis Bay, Namibia.
Description

Duties
  • Review accounting processing performed by junior associates on Pastel
  • Complete year end procedures for non-audit clients, including review of General Ledger for completeness and raise year-end journals
  • Ad-hoc preparation of Annual Financial Statements on CaseWare during peak season
  • Ad-hoc assistance to the tax team during peak season with corporate income tax and personal income tax
  • Ad-hoc assistance to the tax team during peak season with monthly compliance including submission of Value Added Tax Returns, PAYE returns etc
  • Respond effectively to the diverse perspectives, needs, and feelings of others
  • Use a broad range of tools, methodologies and techniques to generate new ideas and solve problems
  • Use critical thinking to break down complex concepts
  • Understand the broader objectives of your project or role and how your work fits into the overall strategy
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is changing
  • Use reflection to develop self awareness, enhance strengths and address development areas

Requisites
  • Must be a Namibian Citizen
  • Persons with disabilities and persons from previously disadvantaged designated groups are encouraged to apply
  • Must have completed their articles (Training Contract)
  • Must have a BCom degree in Accounting
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in Pastel will count in your favour
  • Experience in CaseWare will count in your favour
  • Willing to learn and take on challenges
  • Strong Accounting and Mathematics knowledge
  • Good work ethic and ability to produce quality work
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks
