Bank Windhoek is recruiting a Collateral Officer, to be based in Outjo, Namibia.
Duties
- Responsible for the administration and maintenance of securities
- Key Performance Areas (KPAS)
- Securities Administration: Acceptance, transfer and handling over of security documents
- Ensure that the required documents regarding contracts, cessions, pledges and other supportive documentation in respect of:
- Acceptance of securities
- Follow up of securities
- Transfer of securities
- Handling over of securities
- Opening of new security files and
- Ensure it is finalized correctly and on time in accordance with the prescribed procedures
- Request Santam Quotations
- Request POA from attorneys
- Ensure that all documents are properly completed and signed when securities are accepted.
- Follow up/aftercare: Ensure that timeous and effective follow-up/after careactions as listed below are carried out in respect of securities
- Follow-up of missing or faulty securities
- Updating of security values and property revaluation on the computer system
- Safe Custody of securities: Ensure that prescribed procedures are followed for the acceptance, recording and issuing and cost recovery in respect of safe custody items
- Checking and control of deeds and supportive documents: Ensure that title deeds, mortgage bonds, short term insurance, life assurance, bank guarantees and supportive documentation are legally and correctly finalized
- Cost recovery: Ensure that costs and the value of stamps are recovered accordin to prescriptions
- Customer focus: Ensure that clients are handled in a professional manner with accurate information, including details about the branch’s products and services
- Maketing: Responsible to identify cross selling opportunities and refer such opportunities and leads to the correct person, branch or department involved
- General: Must be prepared/willing to do any other reasonable and lawful instruction/task and it should normally be carried out on time and correct
Requisites
- Knowledge of the system and processing activities
- Must have the adequate knowledge of the products and services that apply to this position
- At least 2 years experience in similar similar position
- Professional image & grooming
- Self-confidence and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate: Knowledge of Windows 2000, Microsoft Outlook, Excel Level I & II and Word Level I & II
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Valid Driver’s license (Added Advantage)
