Clerk: Telesales

Description

• Reporting to the Manager: Sales Operations, the incumbent will be required to:

Duties

• Execute sales objectives against agreed standards
• Accurate and timeous sales order capture and administration
• Orders to be checked, processed and verified
• Verification of Pricing, Deals and Blocking of Orders
• Communicate pricing issues to relevant Key Account parties and follow up on resolution before cut off that same day
• Responsible to close all open orders after invoicing
• Follow up on Orders and payments
• Make outgoing calls to customers to advise them of products and services that may be of interest to them
• Update customer data in our system
• Process pertinent sales transactions and contracts for the sale of goods or services
• Explain products and service features to clients
• Pass on leads to the outbound sales team if applicable
• Upsell and cross-sell other products that may be useful for clients
• Understand the customers’ needs and tailor the service to their needs
• Follow-up calls with emails if required
• Verification of Control Sheet and Orders processed
• Handling of customer queries

Requisites

• Qualification and Preferred Traits:
• Valid Grade 12
• At least two (2) years’ experience in Telesales and Order Capturing in the FMCG environment
• Proficient communication abilities
• Competent in computer usage and telephone etiquette
• Capable of effective communication with customers and colleagues
• Demonstrates adept problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with SAP software is a beneficial asset
