Swakop Uranium is recruiting a Clerk: Database, to be based in Swakopmund, Namibia.
Description
- To maintain the geological database by capturing all relevant geological data to ensure accurate and updated data for the Resource & Evaluation Section
Duties
- Accurately maintain and update the MRM Geological database as per standards and best practices
- Enter data, validate and report on all assay concerning MRM data
- Accurately track all samples from onsite collections to dispatch to internal / external laboratories
- Monitor all assay results and ensure QA/QC standards are maintained
- Prepare Geological reports as required
- Maintain continuous improvement in data capturing process and reporting systems
- Generate queries and reports of any assay data as required
- Participate in Geology and mining production, audits and incident reporting investigations as required
Requisites
- Grade 12 or current NSSCO with 20 points over 5 subjects
- Certificate in Computer Science, IT or Database Management
- 2 years working experience in an exploration and mining geology environment will be an added advantage
- Valid Code B or BE/ CE Driver’s License
