Rössing Uranium is recruiting a Buyer, to be based in Arandis, Namibia.
Description
  • A vacancy exists for a role of Buyer within Procurement Section
  • Reporting to the Procurement Advisor
  • The primary purpose of this role is to efficiently manage and execute daily procurement activities at RUL, ensuring compliance with the applicable procurement policy and adherence to CNNC and RUL Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • The role is responsible for meeting general purchasing needs, from requisition to order placement
Duties
  • Pursuing zero harm by meeting Legal requirements and Company HSE Standards
  • Ensuring compliance to standards and safe work procedures in-line with the Rössing Standard
  • Adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
  • Receiving purchase requisitions from originators in workflow and action
  • Receiving quotations, assess, adjudicate to determine successful vendor taking cognizance of the originator’s specific requirements
  • Preparing and completing the SAP purchase order in accordance with Company Policies and where applicable existing agreements with the vendor
  • Monitoring the performance of vendors in terms of delivery compliance (due date, invoices and delivery note). Report continuous non-compliance to the Procurement/Purchasing Manager
  • Facilitating customer requirements in all procurement requirements
  • Ensuring the development and/ or maintenance of good procurement reputation and image through sound customer relations
  • Supporting Procurement Advisor to ensure Rössing Procurement performance meets Business requirements
  • Recommending improvements to Procurement processes and discusses these with end-customers
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on purchasing activities
Requisites
  • 3-year National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration or related qualification and 5 years Post Qualification Procurement experience
  • OR
  • Grade 12 with Minimum E in English and 7 Years Procurement Experience
  • Code B Driver License
  • A Police certificate of conduct not older than six months is required
  • A record will not automatically disqualify candidates
