FNB Namibia is recruiting a Business Intelligence Analyst, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To understand the business environment and requirements in order to analyze data and provide relevant analytical and quantitative insights to business for operational, tactical and strategic decisioning
Duties
- Execute on relevant business intelligence (BI) projects / BI initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress under supervision and guidance
- Extract data from various sources for the purposes of creating data products to provide business insights to enable more effective decision-making.
- Resolve queries as and when required (By extracting data from data warehouses)
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to produce BI business requirement (BRS) documentation and submit to relevant stakeholders for sign off
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to provide input into assigned projects, in line with business requirements within the required timeframe and specification
- Share knowledge and ideas into new or improved data product for the Business Intelligence environment
- Ensure ongoing efficiencies driven by a culture of sharing "build once and build for all"
Requisites
- Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science / Information Technology / Mathematics / Statistics/ Data Science
Coding experience in SQL, SAS, or Python
- Are a highly energetic self-starter with an initiative to drive projects and resolve data queries timeously
- An excellent team player with excellent presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Have 2-3 years exprience in a similar environment with 1 year experience in a managerial position
