Old Mutual is recruiting a Broker Consultant, to be based in Walvis Bay, Namibia.
Description
- This role forms a business management link between Old Mutual Retail Mass Market (RMM) and independent brokers, to ensure effective marketing and drive new business growth of Old Mutual Namibia products
- The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts
Duties
- Marketing:
- Convinces brokers to sell Old Mutual RMM products and services
- Develops and tries to find new business
- Markets Old Mutual value proposition
- Markets and promotes RMM's products and services to Brokers to develop broker product knowledge to facilitate sales
- Personal Effectiveness:
- Accepts and lives the company values
- Accountable for service delivery through own efforts
- To provide value as a business partner through continual professional development to enable the provision of quality business management support to brokers
- Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results
- Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality over periods of 1 day to a maximum of three months
- Makes increased contributions by broadening individual skills
- Relationship Building:
- Builds and manages valued and trusted partner relationships with brokers through effective customer profiling and ongoing communication and interaction to ensure broker needs are met
- Builds relationships with brokers
- Ensures broker growth and market development through ongoing recruitment of new brokers in line with set targets
- Trains and upskills new and existing brokers with regards to Old Mutual Namibia products and industry and/or legislative changes
Requisites
- Namibian Citizenship
- Grade 12 with commercial or business-related subjects and a minimum of 25 points
- Post matric qualification advantageous
- A clear criminal and credit check
- Ability to work under pressure whilst still maintaining a professional image
- Good planning, organising and time-management skills
- A minimum of 2 - 5 years sales experience, preferably within financial services
- Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
- Proactive and passionate about sales
- Outstanding networking skills
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Valid Driver’ license
- Having a vehicle will be an added advantage
