Nedbank is recruiting a Branch Manager, based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • To assume the ultimate responsibility and accountability for the day to day effective management and leadership of The Grove branch
  • To create a unique client experience by attending to clients' sales and service needs, fulfill client banking requirements, selling Nedbank sales products and by identifying cross sell opportunities whilst mitigating risk and contributing to branch objectives
Duties
  • Acquisition of new clients to the Bank within the Retail Banking division, as well as retention of existing clients
  • Deliver world class benchmarked customer service
  • Responsible for Branch budget
  • Meeting agreed upon sales and profit targets
  • Marketing of bank’s products and services to existing as well as prospective clients
  • Audit and Risk environment, benchmark and control
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new clients
  • Overall responsible for sound working environment and fulfillment of a staff management role, including performance management, recruitment career creation of development opportunities for branch staff
Requisites
  • Fully conversant with local banking conditions
  • Extensive and sound experience in all aspects of sales and banking
  • Sound credit background linked with superior interpersonal and marketing skills
  • Results driven and sales driven personality
  • Customer Centric
  • Ability to work under pressure, team oriented and a flexible approach
  • Oral and written communication
  • Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
  • Preferred Qualification:
  • An applicable Diploma/Degree in banking and or applicable tertiary qualification will be a pre-requisite
  • Preferred Certifications
  • FAIS certification/ registration mandatory
  • Minimum Experience Level:
  • Minimum of 7 (Seven) years general banking experience of which at least 5 (Five) years as a Manager in a Retail environment
  • Extensive experience in all aspect of retail banking, with particular emphasis on sales
