PWC Namibia is recruiting an Associate - Accounting, to be based in Walvis Bay, Namibia.

Duties
- Invite and give in the moment feedback in a constructive manner
- Share and collaborate effectively with others
- Identify and make suggestions for improvements when problems and/or opportunities arise
- Handle, manipulate and analyse data and information responsibly
- Follow risk management and compliance procedures
- Keep up-to-date with developments in area of specialism
- Communicate confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner - verbally and in the materials I produce
- Build and maintain an internal and external network
- Seek opportunities to learn about how PwC works as a global network of firms
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
- Performing annual accounting work and preparing accounting files for financial statements of various clients
- Calculate and submit VAT and Import VAT returns on behalf of clients
- Perform general accounting functions
- Write up clients’ books of account up to trial balance using Pastel
- Preparation of annual financial statements from trial balance in CaseWare
Requisites
- Must be a Namibian Citizen
- Persons from previously disadvantaged designated groups are encouraged to apply
- Bachelor of Accounting degree will be to your advantage
- 1-2 Years relevant experience will be an added advantage
- Ability to process client information accurately
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to meet deadlines, perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Experience in CaseWare will count in your favour
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Accounting processing experience in Pastel is a must
