Namclear is recruiting an Assistant Manager, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The Assistant Manager: ICT is responsible to assist the Manager: ICT with the overall functioning of the Information Technology Department
- The Assistant Manager: ICT oversees a team of ICT Administrators (Systems, Security, Service Desk, Networks and Database & Applications) and support personnel responsible for the day-to- day operation of the IT Infrastructure, systems, software and security
- NAMCLEAR is the Namibian Automated Clearing House (ACH), licensed as a Payment System Operator and the designated Financial Markets Infrastructure (FMI) for the Namibian payment industry

Duties
- Responsible for effective supervision of ICT operations which includes the Namclear infrastructure and core business applications
- Implementation and Upgrading of ICT systems and procedures
- Effective in-sourcing and out-sourcing of functions
- Supervise all IT administrators to ensure they meet and set system monitoring requirements, which includes monitoring, reporting and remediation’s on affected systems
- Follow-up with stakeholders to obtain incident reports and root-cause analyses
- Analyze and resolve complex system errors and faults to ensure the effective, efficient and successful completion of business processing
- Coordinate testing of various scenarios and processes before implementation
- Identify potential compliance vulnerabilities, risks and implement remedial action
Requisites
- Minimum Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Recognized IT Training in at least one or more of the following: (A+, N+ Certification,, COBIT,ITIL,MCSE and MCSA)
- Minimum experience Required:
- At least 5 years working experience in ICT operations
- Supervisory experience will be a distinct advantage
- ICT experience within the Financial Industry will be a distinct advantage
- Adequate knowledge of computer systems, software, and procedures related to the job
- Knowledge of Industry rules & regulations related to Namibia’s Payment systems
