MVA Fund is recruiting an Assistant Legal Officer, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Legal and Board Secretarial Support in the Legal Services Office, reporting to the Assistant Legal Advisor
Duties
- Assist with drafting of contracts
- Manage the contract administration process
- Manage contract register by monitoring expiring and renewal of dates of contracts
- Manage the legal advices requests register and assist with the drafting of legal advice as instructed
- Manage the litigation portfolio
- Assist with legal correspondence
- Assist with the legal compliance function
- Assist with Board administration (compilation of board packs, minute taking and drafting of agendas)
- Compile internal memorandums, presentations and reports when required
- Perform legal research when required
Requisites
- Competencies and Skills Requirements:
- LLB Degree, completion of Legal Practitioners Qualifying Exam
- Minimum one-year working experience in the legal regulatory environment and/or board secretarial environment
- Self-motivated and be able to work independently
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
