Assistant Butchery Manager (SuperSpar The Grove)

Duties

• The purpose of the position is to effectively administrate, plan, control and monitor the performance of the Butchery shop department to ensure that it operates at an optimal level as per budget target requirements
• Manage staff in matters relating to customer service, health and safety regulations, dress code and policy
• Do overall maintenance checks on equipment
• Ensure stock levels, quality and pricing meets the demand of customer
• Arranging for promotions and specials with suppliers
• Administrate all product costings & stock takes

Requisites

• Education & Experience:
• Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Butchery Production
• Minimum 3 years’ of Staff Management
• In the absence of required tertiary education, the following is required:
• Grade 12
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Butchery Production
• Minimum 3 years’ of Staff Management
• Evidence of Administrative experience
• Literacy:
• Excellent English comprehension
• Knowledge of computer operating systems and programmes
• Basic knowledge of HR with further assistance available from HR representative
• Numeric Literacy: advanced calculations and proficiency in accounting principles
