Artisan (Millwright)

Description

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment in the feed milling plant

Duties

• Effective maintenance and repair of all equipment
• Reporting to the Workshop Foreman on defects in the plant
• Fault finding and rectification on all relevant equipment
• Provision of standby service on a 24hour, 7 days a week basis
• Compilation, acquisition, maintenance and updating of all electronic and electrical documentation
• Organize and control spare parts for procurement and stores
• Ensure accurate and timeous completion of Job Cards
• Adhere to safety standards, practices, and procedures

Requisites

• Millwright level 3 trade test with 5 years relevant experience
• OR:
• Electrical Trade test level 3 with 10-year experience
• Good Mechanical/Instrumentation background
• Recognized equivalent tertiary qualification in the field of electronic/electrical or instrumentation engineering
• Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems is a pre-requisite
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
• Be willing to work overtime, public holidays, Sundays and on other external sites and depots
• Driver’s license
• Namibian citizen
