Nortal is recruiting an Application Specialist (m/f), to be based in Remote, Namibia.
Description

- We are building a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to skyrocket this exciting initiative. To reach our ambitious goals, we are looking for Application Specialists
Requisites
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring systems (e.g. The Elastic Stack, Zabbix, Nagios)
- Prompt reacting to system notification and making sure the downtime is minimal
- Proficient DBA skills in maintenance of SQL or PostgreSQL
- Hands on experience in monitoring the load on applications
- Participation in installation, upgrading and daily maintenance of software applications
- Swift response to requests for application support from both customers and internal teams
- Ability to reproduce bugs and report to the support or development team
- Knowledge of application troubleshooting is a bonus
- Knowledge of Java, Angular, Flutter is of an advantage
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
- Good communication skills (spoken and written) with fluent English as essential
- Ability to absorb and convey detailed technical information
- Capable to work as part of team or on own
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks among multiple or changing priorities
- Commitment to meet deadlines
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to forge good customer relationships (external and internal)
- Perform preventive maintenance, backup, or recovery procedures
- Have more than 3 years of relevant experience
- Willingness to work Arabic time and per Arabic work week (Sunday-Thursday)
