Portfolio Administrator (m/f)

Capricorn Group is recruiting a Portfolio Administrator (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
  • Perform all administrative tasks related to trade settlements, matching confirmations, and resolving settlement issues
  • Adhere to cut-off times for trade instructions
  • Resolves trading discrepancies by:
  • Researching the cause of the difference between portfolio systems and its counterparties
  • Communicating with counterparties regarding the reasons for the differences and reinstructing proper trade instructions
  • Ensure proper knowledge of asset management systems
  • Process trades relevant to all pooled, segregated, and private client portfolios on asset management systems
  • Pricing of Capricorn Unit Trust Funds on the portfolio management system
  • Daily upload of Capricorn Unit Trust prices and withholding tax splits on the client administration system in order to ensure distributions done at month-end are more accurate and correlate with other systems
  • Reconcile all cash accounts on all unit trust funds and segregated portfolios
  • Attending to all queries related to Portfolio Administration tasks timeously
  • Assisting the Finance department with scrip holdings inquiries related to Portfolio Administration

  • Archiving of documents/files
  • Reporting & Data Submission
  • Support Manager: Portfolio Administration in drawing up month-end reports
  • Compile portfolio management fee reports
  • Compile survey data/reports
  • Ensure proper representation of fund information in the media and other financial platforms/systems
Requisites

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of financial markets, industry terms, and procedures
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • Must be able to set timelines as well as what is important to be able to reach the deadline
  • Knowledge of the system and processing activities
  • Computer literate (MS Word and Excel)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Professional image and grooming
  • Self-confidence
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Grade12 with Mathematics and Accounting as subjects
  • B-Com Degree will be an advantage
