Old Mutual is recruiting a Claims Manager: Personal Lines (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Being accountable for governance and compliance at an operational level
- Driving operational excellence through area of supervision
- Assist with relevant HR functions for the department as well as all day-to-day staff administration
- Being accountable for execution of tactical business plans at operational level
- Creating a climate for optimal performance and drive and maintain high-performance culture
- Making impactful operational decisions within business plan
- Providing operational and best practice context for internal environment
- Holding team leaders accountable for supervisory functions including performance- and talent management
- Building business relationships internally and externally that impact across business areas
- Developing, implementing and managing of claims savings initiatives
- Build and maintain excellent intermediary relationships
- Develop and maintain cross-functional collaboration
Requisites
- Namibian Citizen
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Appropriate Insurance qualification or related financial services or business qualifications
- Managerial experience
- Computer Literacy and good numeric skills are essential with MS Office practical
Knowledge
- 5-10 years of Short-Term Insurance experience, with Claims experience added benefit
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lead a team towards service excellence
- Excellent communication and organizional skills
- Team player
