RMB is recruiting a Resources Sector Relationship Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.

- The main purpose of the job is to manage relationships in the Banking Sub Segment, grow new business by proactively sourcing for business and selling value-adding financial solutions from a range of standard and/or customised product offerings

Duties
- Strategically and operationally manage and a portfolio of clients with a focus on growth, retention and service and manage of their function devising implementation and providing input into the customer relationship management strategy
- Define a sales portfolio growth strategy in line with predetermined growth targets, which are determined on an annual basis through conducting competitor analysis and innovating new value propositions by developing sales initiatives which align with the various segment strategies
- Ensures a competent management of portfolio to ensure asset and liability growth and increase in product holding per customer and achieve the Net Income Interest and Net Income Return for the Business as defined in the Financial Performance Report of the Business
- Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions, manage the resolution of transactional banking issues when escalated from operational areas to ensure customer satisfaction and identify client needs and deliver customized solutions for a portfolio of clients
- Engage with the customers in a professional way as specified in the service standards to build and maintain enduring and rewarding relationships with customers and manage existing clients and grow portfolio through making contact and generating leads through the Net Promoter Tool.
- Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders
- Act as the point of contact for the defined customer portfolio to ensure customers' needs and expectations are understood and to provide customers with solutions and alternatives to satisfy their needs (sell and cross sell) and manage the growth of active customer base to increase client base
- Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analyzing trends and data
Requisites
- Have a Minimum Qualification - Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field
- Have 3-5 years experience in a similar environment
- Have practical sales experience and knowledge of portfolio management and sales processes
- Understand key business drivers and being able to manage client expectations in line with transactional banking capabilities
- Have detailed knowledge of the transactional banking products in context with the transactional banking specialised product mandate
- Have an understanding of capital markets and corporate lending
- Have knowledge and understanding of market movements, market influences and indicators and be able to identify what would have an impact on the businesses of clients to provide optimal product solutions
- Have knowledge and understanding of competitor strengths, weaknesses and competitive advantages and disadvantages
- Have good business acumen
- Are self-motivated and able to lead oneself
- Are able to make effective decisions based on sound judgement
- Are able to display logical thinking and can segment issues into manageable components
- Knows how to use technological developments to the benefit of RMB and our clients
- Display the want to serve and help the customer attitude
