Nedbank is recruiting a Manager: Finance (Management Accounting), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To ensure accurate and timely reporting of the subsidiaries in the Nedbank Group
Duties
- Compilation of financial reports including commentary and analysis of financial results
- Prepare monthly financial results and provide EXCO with meaningful information and analysis, including relating to operating expenses and Capex
- Prepare board submissions including management accounts, operating expenses and Capex
- Provide insight on the Bank’s financial performance and product profitability and work collaboratively with stakeholders to improve outcomes
- Responsible for overseeing the budgeting process including the consolidating and co-ordination of information and responsible for preparation of Capex and expenditure budgets
- Monitor and manage expenditure, reporting on variances to ensure that controllable costs remain within budget
- Monitor and manage the Bank’s Capex budget and fixed asset register
- Manage and control Accounts payable
- Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of policies, systems and processes
- Managing relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
- Provide assistance to auditors and respond/resolve audit findings proactively where applicable
- People management and effective leadership
- Ensuring that deadlines are strictly met
Requisites
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
- Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
- Key Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CIMA or relevant qualification
- CA qualification will be an added advantage
- Minimum Experience Level:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience with financial analysis, budgeting, data analytics and SQL
- Advance knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
