  • As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution
Duties
  • Analysis and determination on the impact of the Namibian VAT Act on client affairs and specific transactions
  • Drafting of opinions and ruling requests
  • Consulting clients on VAT related matters and business restructuring
  • Communicating with NAMRA on technical VAT matters
  • Performing VAT related reviews, Tax Due Diligence and audit of VAT risks
  • Presenting Indirect Tax training
  • Develop new skills outside of comfort zone
  • Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively
  • Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development
  • Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations
  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
  • Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations
  • Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making
  • Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients
  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties
  • Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
Requisites
  • Must be a motivated Namibian Citizen eager to learn
  • Persons with disabilities and from previously disadvantaged designated groups are strongly
  • Must have strong knowledge of an Accounting environment
  • B.Acc or BCom degree
  • Must have completed audit articles or 5-6 years relevant experience
  • Being a Chartered Accountant will be an added advantage
  • Tax qualifications will be an added advantage
  • Must have a passion to improve his/her technical, tax related knowledge and skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Word and Excel
