Rössing Uranium is recruiting a FTC Events Coordinator, to be based in Arandis, Namibia.
Description
  • Vacancy exists for a role of FTC Events Coordinator reporting to the Manager Corporate Communication
  • The successful incumbent is responsible for effective and efficient event coordination services and assisting the corporate communication in executing and implementing their strategic objectives
Duties
  • Adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
  • Maintaining and improve safety, health and environmental standards and practices
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure smooth planning of events and visits
  • Taking full accountability for events and visits and lock down day-of logistics
  • Developing event content/materials and work with graphic designer to produce quality work
  • Liaising with the Manager Corporate communication and prepare corporate communication material needed for visits and events
  • Coordinating and execution of all high official and corporate visits and events
  • Handling the day-to-day administration of events and programs, including order placements, travel accommodation planning, restaurant reservations, attendee participation, registration counts, RSVP tracking, and issues resolution
  • Complying with all national and international protocols for high official visits and events
  • Coordinating activities with external parties to ensure planning event details and aspects, including seating, of guests’ arrangement in accordance with the appropriate protocols
  • Recommending alternative measures to continuously reduce operational costs
  • Taking accountability for own development and manage own work activities to achieve the overall performance and objectives of the company
  • Identifying and implement business process improvements within area of responsibility
Requisites
  • 3-year National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in: Communication / Public Relations/Marketing or Events Management or Related discipline
  • Five (5) Years’ experience in Public Relation or Event coordination in Corporate Environment
  • Code B (8) Driving License
  • Required Skills:
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Interpersonal and Communication skills
  • Able to design and develop training content
  • Advance computer literacy (Software Packages, Microsoft Office Package, SAP, Learner Management systems)
  • Basic Report writing skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service mindset
