  • The position will be based in Walvis Bay, Namibia
  • Primary Purpose: To fulfil two key functions: supporting embedded security analysis within the IT team and driving risk management efforts
  • The role will focus on optimising risk and security processes to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery in a dynamic and complex IT environment
Duties
  • Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated to adapt to changing threats and technologies
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in IT systems and processes, and continuously monitor and evaluate risk indicators, adjusting strategies as necessary
  • Coordinate with the team to address and resolve incidents promptly, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
  • Provide training and support to staff on security awareness and best practices to enhance overall security posture
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies related to IT security and data protection
  • Assist with audits and assessments to verify adherence to security controls and protocols
Requisites
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT risk management, information security, or a related role
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, risk assessment tools, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and adaptable to changing priorities and emerging threats
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
