Sanlam is recruiting a Junior Disability Claims Specialist, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To support the disability claims consultants in the validation, processing and payment of disability claims
Duties
- Complete the full Administration process of disability benefits payable in monthly installments and disability benefits payable in lump sums
- Calculation and payments of benefits
- Liaising with internal and external clients
- Record keeping, summarising information and updating systems
- Understand and interpret policy definitions and rules
- Reporting as and when required
Requisites
- Qualification and Experience:
- Matric with Mathematics and/or Accounting
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the employee benefits or life insurance industry
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Absolute proficiency in English (verbal and written). An additional local Namibian language will be a competitive advantage
- Excellent product knowledge and understanding of the Group Risk Industry and Pricing principles
- General understanding of Employee Benefits
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams)
