Duties
- Provide trusted nursing care to patients and clients of Welwitschia Hospital in accordance with the Scope of Practice of an Enrolled Nurse
- Perform and participate within delegated team and unit
- Take responsibility for own outputs and standards of care
- Contribute to a healing and safe environment by upholding Infection Control measures and Health & Safety standards within delegated unit
- Non-Negotiable Competencies:
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to naturally liaise with people from all walks of life
- Ability to work independently within a high-pressure environment
- Willingness to perform assigned or ad hoc duties as per operationally required
- Ad hoc:
- On busy Theatre days, working hours may be extended to 19:00 or later, as determined by operational needs
- Please note that this role does not typically involve night or weekend shifts unless the employee volunteers themselves to work overtime
Requisites
- Minimum Requirements:
- Enrolled Nurse and Midwife Qualification
- 3 Years’ experience in General Ward & Day Ward
- Registered with the Nursing Board of Namibia as an Enrolled Nurse
- Namibian Citizenship or eligible to work in Namibia
- Disposition towards quality and excellent patient car
- High energy levels and tolerance for stress
- Well-developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to perform within a team, organise effectively and operate optimally under pressure
- In-depth medical know-how
- Working hours for the Enrolled Nurse in the Day Ward are fixed from 07:00 am to 16:00 pm, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise operationally required
