Nedbank is recruiting a Compliance Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To monitor and provide assurance on the adherence to compliance practices in client facing departments to ensure compliance risks are managed and reported across the NNH Group
Duties
- Conduct compliance risk monitoring and testing activities and determine the state of compliance in client facing departments to ensure that the NNH Group compliance program is effective
- Ensure compliance requirements are adhered to and adequate compliance risk management practices implemented
- Execute the annual compliance risk-based program
- Provide input, review and ensure accurate reporting and articulation of compliance
- Provide guidance in the completion of compliance risk monitoring programs
- Provide advice and/or input to internal stakeholders on possible contraventions of compliance risks through early detection
- Maintain relationships with both external & internal and relevant key stakeholders/or vendor relationships by establishing partnerships in managing compliance risks
- Engage with stakeholders formally through determining scope of work, understanding and identifying client and business needs
- Develop collaborative relationship with the Compliance Institute of South Africa (CISA)
- Promote and sustain a culture of compliance risk management discipline, anticipation, and risk appetite-based compliance
- Embed ESG practices into business activities and support it with appropriate training and awareness
- Keep abreast of developments in field of expertise, including legislation and other industry changes that impact the NNH compliance business
- Assist to develop and operationalize the Compliance, Ethics and ESG strategy within the NNH Group
- Embed a culture of consciousness and transparency for compliance
Requisites
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Education Requirements:
- Essential Qualifications: Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
- Post Graduate Diploma in Risk Management and or a Certificate in Compliance or Governance, Risk and Compliance will be an added advantage
- Minimum Experience Level:
- The applicant must have 5 years post graduate work experience of which 3 years in a risk or compliance related role
- The applicant must be knowledgeable of and experienced in the application of legislation applicable to Banks
- Relevant regulatory knowledge
- Knowledge of the Bank’s policies and procedures will be an advantage
