Coca Cola Beverages Africa is recruiting an Electrical Technician, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • Coca-Cola Beverages Africa requires the services of x2 Electrical Technicians, reporting to the Maintenance Controller
  • The primary role of the Electrical Technicians is to ensure the safe and uninterrupted operation of the production electrical equipment through regular planned maintenance of equipment
  • To plan and execute electrical projects that will increase the productivity of the company according to CCNBC’s engineering standards
  • To ensure minimum down-time (maximum availability) of production lines, services, equipment, and machines
Duties
  • Perform routine checklist and report all abnormalities to the Maintenance Controller
  • Maintenance and repairs carried out as per works order, meeting all the quality requirements
  • Information collated, documented and feedback provided to relevant customers
  • Works order obtained for all planned activities from maintenance planner/ controller
  • All relevant information obtained to conduct activities – e.g. drawings, manufacturers manual etc
  • Spares and tools required are located and obtained
  • Jobs prioritized to maximize product quality and plant availability (within set maintenance schedule)
  • Permission to stop plant/ process and time required is negotiated with relevant customers
  • Feedback provided timeously to planner/ controller on deviations to schedule and on work to be completed
Requisites
  • Grade 12
  • Nationally recognized Electrical qualification
  • Minimum two (2) years maintenance experience in the Fast-Moving-Consumer-Goods Business
  • The ability to display a clear understanding of technical or professional aspects of work
  • The ability to plan a task, job or project realistically, structuring work, appropriately allocating time and resources
  • The ability to seek and consider all possible and relevant information, conceptualize problems for problem solving and decision making with due regard to implications
  • Experience working with transformers or high voltage will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrates ability to work constructively within a team to accomplish organizational goals
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
