Project Manager

Description

• Windhoek Consulting Engineers (PTY) Ltd is looking for a dedicated and skilled Project Manager who can help navigate the complexities of larger projects, contribute to strategic decision-making, and foster an environment of continuous improvement and professional development

Duties

• Project Leadership:
• Lead the project management office and make strategic decisions on project selection and tendering to maximize resource value
• Resource Management:
• Ensure sufficient project resources are available and used effectively
• Workflow Improvement:
• Develop systems to improve workflows and embrace change to enhance the organization’s efficiency
• Staff Training and Mentoring:
• Train and mentor younger staff in engineering and project management
• Policy Development:
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the ISO system within the project management office
• Technical Skills Utilization:
• Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office for effective project management

Requisites

• Must be a professional engineer, enabling contribution to various areas within the firm
• Must be PMP (Project Management Professional) certified or able to obtain this certification within 12 months
• At least 8 years of project management experience
• Capable of leading the program management office
• Strong leadership skills to train and mentor younger staff
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
• Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the ISO system
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• Open to change and continuously seeking ways to improve the organization’s efficiency
• Honesty and integrity
