Description
  • Windhoek Consulting Engineers (PTY) Ltd is seeking a highly qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with relevant experience to join our dynamic team as a Financial Manager
Duties
  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and manage the finance team to ensure efficient operation
  • Develop and implement systems to ensure smooth departmental workflows with minimal oversight
  • Focus on strategic financial management to maximize shareholder returns
  • Strategic Financial Planning:
  • Analyze potential investment opportunities to bring additional consulting engineering work to WCE
  • Provide detailed feedback on returns, financing options, and tax structures
  • Ensure effective resource allocation and financial planning to support company growth
  • Executive Collaboration:
  • Operate at an executive level, working closely with Directors, shareholders, and the Managing Director
  • Participate as an exco member responsible for daily management alongside other executive committee members
  • Cashflow and Financial Systems Management:
  • Maintain proficiency in cashflow management to minimize operational cashflow requirements
  • Develop and maintain financial systems to ensure efficient financial operations and reporting
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and stakeholders
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Challenge the status quo and embrace change to keep WCE at the forefront of industry development
  • Implement innovative solutions to improve financial efficiency and effectiveness
Requisites
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) certification with relevant experience
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a finance team
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in cashflow management and financial systems
  • Ability to operate at an executive level and work collaboratively with senior management
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen to learn and drive continuous improvement within the organization
