Old Mutual is recruiting a Credit and Risk Analyst, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Identifying and monitoring of Credit related risks and all other risks which the Business is exposed to
- Ensure credit approvals comply with the relevant lending framework and applicable legislation
- Responsible for complex credit modelling calculations, analysis, and commentary
- Continuously researches and assesses new processes for model development and enhancement
- Analysing of Data in excel and other system applications
- Perform Ad-hoc/Monthly/Quarterly credit related reporting to Management
- Engages with external service providers to ensure appropriate levels of best practice benchmarking and model review
- Conducting in-depth credit assessments of new and existing employers
- Maintaining of Employer, Risk & Compliance databases
- Conduct Market intelligence & provide recommendation to the Management
- Effective communication with internal stakeholders
- Provide support to the Operations, Collections & Sales Team
- Collaborate effectively to achieve personal and business wide results
Requisites
- Namibian Citizen
- Degree in Quantitative Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics or Financial Mathematics
- 3 - 4 years in a credit risk environment in the Banking, Credit or Finance sector
- Good understanding of credit risk concepts such as: Economic capital, Expected Loss, PD’s and LGD
- Understand the drivers of credit risk across diverse lending portfolios
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Computer literate
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent numerical ability
- Excellent Time Management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong team player
