Nedbank is recruiting a Manager: Finance, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- To analyze; interpret; collate and present financial (Retail and Business Banking) and non-financial information in order to drive strategy; enable decision making, support the Retail and Business Banking Unit and oversee to the annual Product Pricing
Duties
- Report on the financial results and position by compiling, interpreting and presenting management packs
- Assist in the achievement of Business As Usual (BAU) and strategic initiatives through accurate budgeting and forecasting
- Build and maintain collaborative business relationships and have an understanding of the business strategy and operations through ongoing engagement with stakeholders
- Provide ongoing support to stakeholders by addressing ad hoc queries and requests
- Manage the income statements effectively by ensuring that income and expenses are appropriately accounted for, e.g. analyze monthly performance of RBB to actual
- Provide management with meaningful information to make informed decisions through scenario planning, business case preparation or review and conducting feasibility studies
- Provide management with expert advise and support with the Product and Pricing end-to-end services
- Provide management with the NIR budget input and breakdown as well as monitoring of actuals vs budget, forecasted growth figures and project budget
- Gain a detailed understanding of NIR drivers and manage the optimization there of
- Assist business units with relevant product changes (i.e. rate changes and testing thereof
- Review of write offs and monthly product file recons
- Manage and execute the RBB budget as well as the overview of total NIR as it relates to annual budget and forecasting scenarios
- Ensure that the financial and business information adheres to audit requirements and is easily available for review by embedding good internal control processes
- Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values by reviewing the Retail and Business Plan and ensuring delivered systems, process, services and solutions are aligned
- Responsible for the delivery of the RBB and NIR budgets and forecast as well as the reporting thereof
- Preparation of month end and board reporting packs
Requisites
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level:
- Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
- Education Requirements:
- Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Two (2) years post articles experience.
- CA/CIMA will be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum Experience Level:
- 2– 3 years’ experience banking experience will be an added advantage
- Principles of financial management and financial systems.
- Sound knowledge of Excel, word and PowerPoint.
