Old Mutual is recruiting a Head of Data and Digital Transformation, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Strategy & Execution:
- Formulate and execute the Namibian digital business growth strategy, aligned with overall goals
- Develop and implement plans to achieve ambitious growth targets for digital sales & revenue
- Drive continuous improvement of the digital customer experience across all touchpoints
- Partner with business units to design and execute impactful online campaigns & initiatives
- Data & Insights:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and measure web & mobile analytics, becoming a thought leader in data & digital transformation
- Use data insights to inform decision-making, identify new opportunities, and optimize performance
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with all regulations
- Partnership & Innovation:
- Forge partnerships with MNOs, Fintech, Insuretech, and other key players to expand reach and deliver customer value
- Build and nurture a vibrant digital innovation ecosystem, fostering internal and external collaboration
- Explore and implement innovative digital business models to drive growth and differentiation
- Leadership & Talent:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of data and digital professionals
- Attract, retain, and develop top talent, building a future-proof digital & data capability

Requisites
- Education:
- Qualification: degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, a post graduate or masters would be an advantage
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience: Proven track record in leading digital transformation initiatives within retail, financial services, or technology organizations
- Experience in all three sectors is a plus
- Digital leadership:
- Strong understanding of digital and data strategy, online/mobile channel management, and customer experience optimization
- Data-driven decision making: Experience in leveraging data analytics for insights, driving strategic decision-making, and maximizing revenue
- Team leadership:
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing and motivating high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and cultivating talent
- Delivery methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in their successful implementation
- UX design understanding: Knowledge of user experience (UX) principles and their application in digital product development
- Technical Expertise:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in each of the following:
- Digital channel management: Optimizing online and mobile channels for engagement and conversion
- Data management & analytics: Data governance, security, privacy, and extracting actionable insights
- Additional Skills & Qualities:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
