Business Intelligence Manager

FNB Namibia is recruiting a Business Intelligence Manager, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • To manage a team in implementing the Business Intelligence strategy and translating tactical strategy in actionable goals; to understand the business environment and requirements in order to analyse data and provide relevant analytical and quantitative insights to business for operational, tactical and strategic decisioning
Duties
  • Define and Implement the Business Intelligence (BI) strategy aligned to the Group Data strategy
  • Manage a team in implementing the BI strategy and translating tactical strategy into actionable goals; to understand the business environment and requirements in order to analyse data and provide relevant analytical and quantitative insights to business for operational, tactical and strategic decisioning
  • Align processes and systems to group platform strategy and requirements
  • Actively manage the team’s budget and service level agreements to ensure optimal operational efficiency
  • Support and implement a cycle of medium-term improvements to drive profitability and strategic objectives through BI
  • Ensure ongoing efficiencies driven by a culture of sharing "build once and build for all" as well as leveraging tools already built
  • Resolve queries as and when required
  • Analyse information to identify trends, discrepancies and inconsistencies for decision making purposes
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to provide input into assigned projects, in line with business requirements within the required timeframe and specification
  • Manage new projects, design, define and document the BI solutions in line with business requirements and service ad-hoc requests for information from clients within the required timeframe and specification
  • Manage team's creation of project outputs e.g. documents or presentations to stakeholders that are insightful and actionable
  • Source, build and manage partnerships with external experts / providers to assist in delivery on key BI projects
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise in area of specialisation
  • Keep up to date with best practice and innovative solutions and challenge current designs to make a relevant difference in business
Requisites
  • Have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Informatics or similar
  • Have 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar environment, of which 2 to 3 years on a senior specialist level
