Data Architect

Description

• To support in the design and development of information and data architecture framework and principles and develop and drive information and data architecture models and data systems within the data platform

Duties

• Implement the Data Architecture framework and ensure corrective action is taken within area of scope
• Align to FirstRand approved strategic data platforms to meet the business growth demands and execute the data architecture requirements within area of scope
• Ensure alignment of the data architecture principles to the information management disciplines
• Support adoption of approved architecture and decommission "non-compliant" environments/ infrastructures in respect to the group architecture principles within area of scope
• Support Information Architects in ensuring compliance of Enterprise Data Domains and alignment of data products in tenants with group architectural policies
• Support Information Architects in minimizing duplication and streamlining advanced analytical model deployment, ensuring accelerated deployment of models, and data platform constructs including feature store
• Ensure implementation of information management solutions and data platforms are aligned to the enterprise data model (EDM) framework and enterprise data warehouse (EDW)
• Communicate with relevant stakeholders, when developing data architectural pack and data modelling
• Ensure enterprise data onboarding classification according to the principles, framework, and standards
• Contribute to the information and data architecture platforms for knowledge sharing and for approval of any new information and data architecture solutions
• Identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy
• Ensure enterprise requirements for reuse, compliance with standards, principles, traceability to enterprise, reference models and alignment with
• target enterprise architecture

Requisites

• Have a bachelor's degree in BCom Informatics / BSc Computer Science / BSc Information Technology
• Have 3 to 5 years of experience in systems/solution/data architecture as well logical modelling
