Cashier

Duties

• Main responsibility is to accurately and efficiently scan all products on registers and receive payment in cash, credit/debit cards or account
• Must validate all forms of payment
• Cashiers to ensure float is correct and collected in time before commencement of shift
• Must cash-up of floats and deposit excess money and take till deposit slip to manager for signoff
• Ensure all price differences and products not scanning are reported immediately
• Communicate customer requests to management
• Restock and dust designated display area at cash register

Requisites

• Education & Experience:
• Grade 12 with Mathematics (C), English as First Language
• Minimum 6 months’ experience in Cashier position
• Literacy:
• Good English comprehension (speak, write, read)
• Understanding Afrikaans
• Basic numeracy and skills and calculations
