Bank Windhoek is recruiting an Executive Officer- Human Capital, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Lead and deliver the approved human capital strategy through the design and implementation of proactive Human Capital strategies and interventions to support the Bank in response to organizational and business challenges, achieving strategic business objectives
- Provides shared services (IR, Benefits and -Training ) to the Group
Duties
- Business Strategy - HR Business Alignment:
- Formulate and execute the Human Capital Strategy, aligned with the business and Group HR Strategy
- Take responsibility for all functional aspects of Human Capital, as per the employee work-cycle
- Ensure that the talent and retention strategy remuneration, employment relations (IR) and L&D strategies are aligned with Bank’s and Human Capital strategy
- Ensure talent development initiatives meet business needs, are delivered cost effectively, timely and efficient in line with Group’s principles
- Risk and Compliance:
- Is responsible for risk and compliance and act as Principal Risk Owner of the banks “People risk”
- Monitor the external environment (e.g., regulations, market trends) and internal environment (e.g., culture skills) and proactively identify risks and compliance challenges for the Bank
- Develop and manage sound HR practices for the purpose of governance and compliance
- Oversight and Leadership of HR Operations (Business Impact):
- Work in close relationship with the Centers of Expertise to provide operational support and implement HR projects related to the business unit priorities and company-wide macro-project implementation
- Ensure efficient HR shared services (Employee Benefits Administration, IR and Training) are administered as per laid down policy provisions
- Human Capital Architecture:
- Compile manpower plans for the Bank, in consultation with the management, considering strategic objectives, key positions, staffing capability, skills levels and requirements
- Manage and implement the recruitment and selection policy to ensure optimal resourcing levels, and support line management appropriately
- Development, manage, execute, and monitor a Learning Development Strategy and Policy for the Group as a Shared Service (onboarding, training, development) and ensure optimization of skills and competencies for all employees ensuring all internal and external demands and needs are met
- Implement and monitor the performance review and performance management process within the business units
- Manage the Bank’s remuneration and benefits in alignment with Group HR practices and legislative requirements
- Oversee employee relations and address issues proactively
Requisites
- 15 years’ experience in human resources management; experience in the field of industrial relations/union relationships is also required
- Bachelor’s Degree(in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology)
